And the beating of her heart<\/p>\n

Throbbed with the rhythm<\/p>\n

Of a reckless dance around a fire,<\/p>\n

Where spirits run heavy<\/p>\n

And feet run light.<\/p>\n

She waited,<\/p>\n

Knowing that something in that darkness<\/p>\n

Was looking back<\/p>\n

But no face emerged,<\/p>\n

No voice rose from the stillness,<\/p>\n

From the haze of the twilight.<\/p>\n

Not even her own.<\/p>\n

She stood slowly<\/p>\n
